Dan Kuhn

Alan Edgin

Alan is the President of SMIG and has over 25 years of experience with a comprehensive background in sales and marketing of insurance products and services.  Major areas of responsibilities have included:  building distribution, management of career field force, budgets, strategic alliances, personnel management, development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies, internet marketing and product development.  Since graduating from the University of Tennessee, he has held senior management positions with several insurance and financial services companies.  During his career Alan has worked for Met Life, Corroon & Black (now Willis, Inc.), Mutual of Omaha, United Chambers and Solving Insurance Needs, LLC.  Most recently he was the President of Select Asset Management in Houston, Texas.

W. Chris Peden, CPA

Chris is the Chief Financial Officer and has over 20 years of experience in the tax and accounting field.  As the managing partner of Peden & Associates, LLP, he has oversight responsibilities for over 1,000 tax returns of high net worth individuals and 500 small to mid-size corporate/entity returns.  Chris served as Chief Financial Officer of GM Hydrocarbons, Ltd. from 1994 thru 1998.  GM Hydrocarbons was a $235 million gas trading company.  Chris served on Friendswood City Council as Mayor Pro-Tem from 2005 to 2008.  Chris is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University.  Chris is a Certified Public Accountant, Vice President of Board for the Hope Foundation, on the Advisory Board of Reach Out America, and a Member of both the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Angel Worley

Angel is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the technology and services that OIS provides.  Her years of experience as the Senior Programmer / Analyst with Software Industries, Inc. and OIS developing insurance and financial software have enabled her to understand the needs of the industry.  Now under the management of SMIG, Angel is well positioned to take OIS to the next level by focusing on excellence in customer and agent satisfaction through technology and services.
